Here is why you need to create your own mastermind group.

My mastermind group is one of the the best ideas I’ve come up with to date. Two years ago, I asked 3 of my closest colleague friends to join me for a time to come together and work on our business goals. Once a month for the last 24 months we have met virtually, or at a fun event (FYI: I won TopGolf) to review our goals for the last month and set goals for the next month. We have a group chat for memes and questions. We also discuss what the hold up is on projects (as a lively bunch who are honest and open-this gets real) and help to hold up goals that may need to be postponed or clarified. Here is how my mastermind group helps me:

  1. They challenge me to think outside the box

  2. They keep me honest, knowing what my goals were, they know if I didn’t follow through

  3. They are a great sounding board for new ideas

  4. They give me feedback on my copy, website, ebook

  5. They are a great source of encouragement and support

  6. They celebrate my wins with me, an important aspect for people who have the wornout type of burnout.

I could go on and on about how wonderful my group is. Here is a link to their websites so you can get an idea yourself.

Mastermind groups can be a great way to tackle isolation and overwhelm-common in solo private practice. Reach out to 3 colleagues that you respect and ask them if they want to create a group to building community and what I like to call compassionate accountability. Don’t want to make your own or don’t have the bandwidth? No problem. Join our membership here for a mastermind group pre-built for you.
