Tackle the Isolation of Private Practice
Ok, I may be currently watching the documentary Untold: Swamp Kings while I write this, hence the football language…but loneliness and isolation in private practice is a serious competitor and it has been tough for me this summer. Isolation in practice can lead to burnout, imposter syndrome, and overall dissatisfaction - or at least it has for me (no citation here people). Here is a list of things to help keep isolation at bay.
Create a mastermind group or join one.
Create a consultation group or join one.
Rent office space with other clinicians (I prefer virtual but I keep an office just to be around others).
Schedule coffee/tea with another clinician you know from your past.
Do a CE, but be present, connect with others who are attending and with the presenter, find someone in the audience you want to connect with after the CE is over. Use the Referral Source Tracker to keep yourself organized.
Join the T2T membership, we have a Discord Server for our members (free and premium) to connect with each other and me as well. The premium membership includes a coworking space.
